Privacy statement

Plain words, because there is not much to say: this site sets no cookies, and it counts visits only as totals, with a cookie-free service from Cloudflare.

What this site collects

Only what you send through one of our forms, and the address of the page you sent it from. Beyond that, we see visit totals, not individual visitors; how we count them is explained below. austropical.co is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies. The pages, images and videos are served from our web host, which keeps ordinary server logs (the address a request came from, the page requested, the time) for security.

The two typefaces on the site, Bricolage Grotesque and DM Sans, are served from austropical.co itself, like the pictures and videos. The only other company a page contacts when it opens is Cloudflare, for the visit counts below. Links to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and our Australian site take you to those sites, which have their own privacy terms.

How we count visits

We want to know which pages help people and how quickly they load, without following anyone around. So pages on austropical.co load Cloudflare Web Analytics, a free service from Cloudflare, Inc. It is a small script from another company (a third-party beacon), and it gives us totals: visits and page views, the pages read, the websites that sent people here, visitors’ countries, browsers, operating systems and device types (desktop, mobile or tablet), and how quickly pages loaded.

According to Cloudflare’s documentation, the script sends Cloudflare details such as the address of the page you are on, the page that linked you there, and load timings from your browser. Cloudflare says the script sets no cookies: it stores nothing in your browser and reads no cookies or other browser storage. It says it currently does not log the part of an address after a question mark, that it discards your IP address at its nearest data center instead of storing it in its core databases or logs, and that Web Analytics “does not collect or use your visitors’ personal data.” In Cloudflare’s own words: what the script collects, about Web Analytics, the launch announcement and Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

The counter runs only on austropical.co. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the page does not load it at all. We send it nothing of our own: no email address, ZIP code, name or message. Forms are still the only place you give us personal details, and they never go to analytics.

When you write to us

Every form on this site (the waitlist, the Work with us and trade requests, launch usage estimates, and contact) goes to a Google Form that only Austropical can read. The answers are stored in our Google Sheet, and our team receives a notification that one arrived. Each one carries three things: the name of the form (for example “Waitlist (footer)”), the fields you filled in (empty ones are left out), and the address of the page you sent it from. That address includes any tag in the link that brought you there, such as the one on our sell sheets, and, if you came from another website, that site’s address. No cookies go with it. Apart from the visit counts above, sending a form is the only time a page here contacts another company, and your answers go to Google, never to Cloudflare; like any website, Google also sees the network address of the device that sent it. If the form cannot reach Google, your email app opens with the same message instead.

You can also write to info@austropical.co. We keep what you sent so we can reply. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and ZIP code (and the flavor or store, if you name one) for launch and availability updates and to send your 15% first US online order offer when ordering opens. We do not sell or share any of it. The one exception is a launch usage estimate: we share those answers with the distributor you name, so it can decide whether to stock the items.

Marketing email

Every marketing email we send carries our postal address and an unsubscribe link, as the CAN-SPAM Act requires. Reply "unsubscribe" or use the link, and we stop. We do not send text messages.

Preferences on this device

The flavor flight can save your selections in your browser. Closing the launch invitation keeps it closed for this browser-tab visit, including visits to other pages. If you join the list, we remember that preference for one year so the automatic invitation stays out of your way. The manual Get updates link remains available. These preferences stay on this device; no email address is stored in them. Clearing browser storage removes them. They are not used for tracking or advertising.

Children

The site is for adults and for buyers in the trade. We do not knowingly collect anything from children.

Changes

October 6, 2026: launch usage estimates are shared with the distributor you name. October 5, 2026: cookie-free visit counts with Cloudflare Web Analytics added, skipped when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. October 4, 2026: launch-club offer and device preferences added. October 3, 2026: this page now says exactly what a form sends. October 2, 2026: the forms now deliver to a Google Form instead of opening your email app. If we change how we count visits or add another service, this page will say so first, with the date at the top updated.
